Every hour, every day, more than 40 people lose their lives to drowning.
Almost a half million people drown each year, with those under 5 years old at greatest risk.
Globally, over half of all drowning deaths are under 25 years old.
In the US, 88% of drownings occur under supervision.
Despite best intentions, drownings do occur under the watchful eyes of lifeguards.
We can do better.
Who we are.
ACTION TO END DROWNING is a non-profit foundation created by passionate individuals who believe that most drownings are absolutely preventable if caregivers are provided with the effective resources they need to reduce and eliminate risk.
Our mission is enhancing awareness, education about water-safety and helping to utilize advances in drowning technology to reduce drownings across the US and beyond.
How you can help.
Your donations will help us raise awareness, host educational events in your community, and help facilitate the implementation of exciting new technologies designed to detect and prevent drowning tragedies, particularly in disadvantaged areas that are in need of outside assistance.
